NFL Recap: Broncos Edge Hapless Jets in Low-Scoring Battle

In a low-scoring contest on Sunday, the Denver Broncos managed to secure a 13-11 win over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix threw an early scoring strike and kicker Wil Lutz kicked the late go-ahead field goal to secure the hard-fought win.

Defensive Performance Seals Game

Even with registering nine sacks versus Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 after conceding a two-point play in the third quarter. Remarkably, the Jets could only produce a mere 82 total net yards during the contest.

Nix, who went 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, led a critical 12-play, 65-yard possession that ended with Lutz's short kick with just over five minutes remaining.

Historic Struggles for Jets Offense

Despite their dismal performance, the Jets maintained the ball with a opportunity to drive for a possible victory. However Fields was tackled on fourth down from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn chose to go for it instead of calling on specialist Nick Folk for a difficult kick.

Fields had difficulties throughout, completing just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. The Jets finished with minus-10 passing yards, the fewest in any contest since 1998.

"The aerial attack was non-existent," Glenn stated after the game.
